MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
This morning this handsome cardinal was sitting on a tree stump in our front yard. This is not a mirror image - look closely! It's two different pictures I put side by side. The cardinal just turned his head in opposite directions in the two pictures.Merry Christmas to all!!!

He's beautiful! The pictures are great.
If I had cardinals I wouldn't wish for any other species all winter. I've seen one in the decade I've been here.
I'm always amazed when I see photos of these birds and realize they aren't tropical! Here on the West Coast, we get the brilliant blue Stellars and Scrub Jays, but nothing this color! Nice shots!
