I guess it's not just cold weather that makes llamas opt for the lazy eating method. Here it's warmed up considerably, and our male llama, Samson, still has a taste for breakfast in bed.
Even the guinea looks like it's thinking, "Man, is that one lazy llama!"
He's just munching away at that hay while the guinea shakes its head at his lazy eating habits, then goes back to grazing guinea style.
I guess Samson figures, "It works for me!"

My goodness, how does Samson stay so clean? Do you brush him frequently? It’s been raining non-stop here and my three are filthy from mud, and have grass, hay, seeds, thorns, twigs, etc. caught and draped throughout their longer neck fleece.
Ha ha on that last picture. I recognize THAT llama glare!
What a cute picture of him with his face in the hay!
Hey Farmgirl Dani! No, I rarely brush him. They get some stuff down in their wool sometimes, but not that bad. & yeah, don’t llamas have quite the glare!?
Statch. . . he rather tickled me with his buying his face in the hay, then bring some up and calmly chew a while… and never move anything but his head and neck. Silly lazy llama!
I’m with Samson! Cute photos!
