Bugs, Bugs, Bugs!

Monday seems like a good time to complain about something that's bugging me.

Bugs.  Lots of bugs.

They're on the splash blocks under the gutters.

Box Elder Bugs on splashblock.

Here's a bunch of them closeup:

I find them on the steps.  I see them on flowers.  They congregate on top of the solar lights along the walkway:

You can find masses of them all over the place.  From looking at descriptions online, I think they're Box Elder Bugs, but not being a bug expert I'm not sure.

Anyone else know what they are for sure?

Looks like you’re absolutely right about your buggies.

I, basically enjoy bugs one or two at a time. I do not like them in masses. Give me the willies.

That’s a bunch of weird looking bugs. I have a bug that looks like that here, but it is solid black.

Oh-ho, thanks for the link Ceecee. That explains all the different colors of bugs I’ve been seeing. I wondered if they didn’t change color as they matured.

Hi Darrell! I agree, they are weird looking bugs! Wonder what the bug you’re seeing is since it’s solid black? (I’m an expert on what bugs me, not on bugs in general. ;-) )
