Paul’s Himalayan Musk Rambler Rose

I'm pretty sure I've mentioned the rambling rose I planted a few years back.  It's blooming now, and looks pretty neat.  (At least I think it does, but I admittedly could be a bit biased.)

Here's a closeup of the roses against the tree trunk.

And here's a few of them that are waaaaaaaaay up in the tree!

Every year it rambles a little further up the tree.  Guess that's why they call it a rambler rose!

Oooh! A white rambling rose. So pretty!

Back in South Carolina I had a yellow rambling rose that sprawled over my wooden swing gazebo. I would sit underneath the tumbling mass of yellow roses and feel like I was protected from the world. It felt magical. :)

It’s hard to see in the pictures, but the roses actually have a very pale pink tinge to them. Your gazebo sounds like it was wonderful with all those roses and a swing.

I grew this rose at a different house I used to own. Rambler is an understatement isn’t it? I was trying to train it to grow up a tree as you have done. So beautiful! Haven’t been able to locate a nursery that carries it, but would love to plant another in my new home!

They are lovely when they’re in bloom. I got mine by mail order from Wayside Gardens.

I’ve bought lots of stuff from them, and they always have good stock, and if by any chance something doesn’t do well, they’ll send a replacement.

That’s where I bought mine too! Wonder why they stopped carrying it? Ditto for Junge’s old fashioned clove pinks. I guess flowers come in and out of fashion too. Thanks for the info on the other source!

I have no idea why they stopped carrying it. I guess not enough people bought it. Too bad. Rambling roses is one of those lovely old-fashioned type roses.
